There’s so much going on right now with COVID-19 and the uncertainty of our reality can be quite unsettling. Being quarantined in our homes is never a fun thought, but perhaps it will give us the time to reflect and be still. Being still is hard… I mean REALLY hard, but it will also give us a chance to really focus on what ultimately is important. Our family, our health, our jobs (if we are still working) and ourselves first and foremost.
I wanted to send some positive vibes your way, and for today’s post, I am sharing some of my favorite home decor items for both Spring and Easter.
From vibrant florals to Easter bunny figurines, these home decor items will brighten up any space.
I love all the bold and inviting colors Spring has to offer, and this year we are seeing lots of navy blue, gold, white, and blush. These are my all-time favorite accent colors for any neutral space. I tend to stick to more of a traditional way of decorating, and for those like me who often play it safe, Spring is a great time to get out of your comfort zone and add in more color.
MacKenzie Child patterns are a great example of pieces that can be added to any household. They are fun and creative, neither timeless nor modern, and can be styled in almost any unique way. My favorite trend right now is the blue and white floral ceramics, from planters to accent decor. I’ve listed some of my favorites below. They remind me of the classic ginger jars, which never go out of style.
If a modern look is more of what you’re trying to achieve, then try adding in a bit more earth tones, neutrals, blacks, and whites. One of my favorite ways to dress up a modern house-hold is by incorporating more green, with fruit, plants, and flowers. It helps to bring life into a room while providing texture and balance.
