Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon, cut in half
  • 16 large Medjool dates

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and set it aside.
  • Cut the eight slices of bacon in half, creating 16 total pieces. Take one slice of bacon, and wrap it fully around one date, securing the end with a toothpick. Repeat until all the dates are wrapped.
  • Arrange the dates evenly on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. After ten minutes, use the toothpick to flip the date to the opposite side, and bake for another 8 minutes.
  • Remove the dates from the oven and let stand on a paper towel-lined plate for 5 minutes, soaking up excess oil. Serve warm.
