Patriotic Charcuterie Board

This festive Patriotic Charcuterie Board is the perfect appetizer to serve for Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July, or any Summer event. Easy to make and customizable to your needs, this red white and blue charcuterie board is sure to wow your guests!

Ingredients

MEAT

  • 16 ounces salami, ham, or prosciutto

CHEESE

  • 8 ounce wheel of brie
  • 8 ounce blueberry cheese, or any festive cheese
  • 8 ounces white cheddar or mozzarella

CRACKERS

  • 12 ounces crackers

FRUIT

  • 16 ounces strawberries
  • 16 ounces cherries
  • 12 ounces blueberries
  • 12 ounces blackberries

CONDIMENTS

  • ½ cup honey, jam, or spread of choice
  • 1 cup almonds
  • spring or rosemary, thyme, or florals to garnish

Instructions

  • Begin by placing the hard and soft cheese onto the board, spacing them evenly on opposite sides. (save the star-shaped cheese for the end).
  • Fold the meat into quarters, stacking and fanning each piece around the cheese. Leave some room to add a small number of crackers.
  • Place both sets of crackers around the cheese and meat, separating the flavors.
  • Next, add the spreads and nuts using condiment bowls. Place the bowls on opposite sides of the board.
    Group each fruit option together and cluster the fruit around the bowls and through the middle, creating equal opposite sides.
  • Cut the white cheddar with a star-shaped cookie cutter, and then place the stars evenly all around the board. Fill in the gaps by adding extra fruit, crackers, and nuts as needed.
  • Finish the board with added garnishes such as thyme, rosemary, or edible flowers.

Notes

Vegan Option: Eliminate the meat and honey and replace the cheese with vegan cheese. 
Gluten-Free: Everything on this board is gluten-free including the crackers.
TIP: Cut out the star-shaped cheese the night before to save time.
