This easy low-carb salmon recipe is tender and flaky with crisp edges, baked to perfection in under 20 minutes! Smothered in melted garlic butter with capers and fresh herbs.
1teaspoonminced garlic, divided (¼ teaspoon on each fillet)
1teaspooncapers, divided (¼ teaspoon capers on each fillet)
salt and black pepper, to taste
1teaspoonfinely chopped parsley
1teaspoonfinely chopped dill
Instructions
Prep the salmon. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. Remove the salmon fillets from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 15 minutes. Pat the fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Place the salmon, skin-side down, on the prepared baking sheet.
Add the melted butter and season the top of the salmon. Melt the butter in a small bowl. Brush the melted butter evenly over each salmon fillet. Season with salt and pepper. Top each fillet evenly with minced garlic and capers.
Bake the filets. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F in the thickest part of the salmon.
Garnish. Garnish the cooked salmon with fresh parsley and dill. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
Notes
Salmon:Many different types of salmon would work well for this recipe, including king salmon, sockeye, or coho. We're using wild-caught sockeye salmon fillets, which have a rich meaty flavor. Alternatively, a single large piece of fresh, wild-caught salmon will also work.
