My husband made the balloon garland, which was quite impressive.
Amalfi Coast Theme Party Decorations
Decorating an Amalfi coast-themed bridal shower meant lots of coastal blues, bright yellows, and crisp whites. Oh, and of course lots of lemons and fresh greenery! From the moment you walked in, I wanted it to feel like we had been transported to the Amalfi coast. Some of our favorite party details include:
- Handmade lemon tree
- Balloon garland with Amalfi coast arch backdrop
- Blue and white hydrangea arrangements
- White rose arrangements in ginger jars
- Votive candles with larger lemon-scented candles throughout the home
- Italian-style plates with gold flatware
- Placecards and signs (Zazzle)
- Lemon tablescape with real lemons
- Flower bar station (Florals ordered through Trader Joe's)
- Spritz station with a signature drink (or two)
- Homemade Italian lemon cookie favors
When it comes to making any event memorable, it's all in the details. We used real lemons for this lemon tree but you could also use faux lemons.
Amalfi Coast Tablescape
To truly encapture the Amalfi beauty, it was only fitting to set a table with a collection of blue and white flowers and lots of fresh lemons. Slicing a few of the lemons open brightened up the space, and the votives created a warm romantic feel.
Amalfi Coast Theme Menu
Our menu was all Italian-themed with different stations set up where each person could grab as much or as little as they liked. We had two main appetizers which were caprese skewers and a large Italian charcuterie board decorated with fresh berries, figs, Italian meats, a whipped mascarpone honey sea salt dip, fig jam, several varieties of cheese, and gluten-free rosemary crackers. For the main course, we ordered gluten-free pizzas from our favorite local Italian restaurant, served with arugula balsamic salad.
For dessert, we served a variety of items including sorbetto di limone dressed in a frozen lemon shell, pistachio gelato, gluten-free vanilla chocolate chip bundt cakes, and gluten-free raspberry lemon bundt cakes. Everyone loved the individual servings.
The bride's main cake was a large 8-inch bundt cake which I dressed up with fresh roses and hydrangeas.
Amalfi Coast Spritz Station
We had Aperol spritz and Limoncello spritz as our signature drinks. I ordered a few cases of our favorite spritz glasses, with signs and instructions on how to create a spritz drink. I also set out a few champagne glasses for those who only wanted prosecco.
Floral ice cubes are so beautiful and make a big statement when you're entertaining. Plus they are super easy to make.
Sliced oranges, lemon wedges, fresh thyme, rosemary, mint, and blackberries were the garnishes we used for the drinks.
Amalfi Coast Party Favors
As a thank you to all of the guests, I created a DIY flower bar that included a selection of glass bud vases and florals to choose from. All the women were so surprised and thrilled to be gifted with fresh flowers and had fun creating their own floral arrangements.
A second party favor I included was these delicious Italian treats, homemade limoncello cookies. They’re soft, chewy, and bursting with lemon flavor. I wrapped each cookie in self-sealing cellophane bags and placed them inside these white and blue chinoiserie floral boxes.
Italian lemon-themed parties are becoming ever-so-popular, and now you can recreate this party for your special event. I hope you enjoyed taking a closer look at our Amalfi-themed party and finding some inspiration for yours.
