Add the condiments and cheese. Start by placing any small bowls containing dips, honey, or jams onto the board, adjacent to one another.
Add the cheese and meat. Arrange the cheese and meat varieties around each condiment bowl. If making a salami rose, place it across from the condiment bowls to create symmetry. It's all about balancing the board.
Add the fruit, vegetables, nuts, and crackers. Group items on opposite ends of the board.
Fill in the board. Any remaining gaps can be filled in with small appetizer bites, chocolate, and garnishes.
Notes
Start with the main ingredients first - Adding the meat and cheeses first allows you to arrange all of the supporting ingredients around them to give the board balance.
Choose smaller items- When it comes to selecting the food, you want to be able to add a variety of different shapes, therefore choose foods that are similar in size and don't take up a ton of room.
It's your time to be creative and have fun -There is no right or wrong way when it comes to assembling a charcuterie board, choose a variety of your favorite things.
Add a wine paring - Serve your favorite bottle of wine or bubbly champagne to complete the perfect board.
